Power flush your heating system to cut gas consumption by up to 40%!
Before a Power Flush
The water in your central heating system steadily corrodes internal metal surfaces (radiator panels in particular) causing sludge corrosion build-up in the bottom of radiator panels (illustrated Right). Progressive build-up of sludge corrosion prevents correct hot water flow around radiator panels (blue area) reducing heat output by as much as 50%! - The illustration (right) demonstrates why radiators feel hot at the top and outer edges, but only feel warm from middle to bottom.
After a Power Flush
A power flush, as the name suggests, thoroughly flushes a central heating system removing sludge corrosion build-up (particularly from radiator panels). After a power flush has been performed, hot water from your boiler is once again able to fully circulate around each radiator panel. This in turn maximises heat output and efficiency, thus significantly reducing the amount of fuel required to achieve the desired room thermostat temperature. Proof!
Do you recognise any of these common ‘Sludge Build-Up’ symptoms? Luke warm radiators, Slow heat-up time, Noisy boiler and pipework, Radiator cold spots (centre to bottom of panel) and Poor running hot water.
