Before a Powerflush

Untreated water in your central heating system is able to steadily corrode internal metal surfaces (radiator panels in particular). This in turn causes sludge corrosion build-up, which collects in the bottom of radiator panels as illustrated (Right). Increasing build-up of sludge corrosion progressively restricts the hot water from your boiler flowing fully around each radiator panel, reducing heat output by as much as 70%! A tell tale sign are radiators that feel hot at the top and outer edges, but which only get warm from middle to bottom.

After Powerflush

Powerflushing, as the name suggests, thoroughly flushes your central heating system removing sludge corrosion build-up (particularly from radiator panels). Once a powerflush has been carried out, radiator panels are once again able to fully circulate hot water around the entire panel.
